Key Responsibilities:
  • Quantitative take offs
  • Review project plans, requirements, and specifications
  • Demonstrate leadership ability to coordinate a team to develop an estimate
  • Determine labor and equipment costs
  • Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and materials pricing
  • Understand project logistics and schedule for Steel industry standards
  • Assess project risks and review quotes and estimates with the project team
  • Prepare estimates at different levels of completion (conceptual, schematic, design development, etc.)
  • Coordinate pre-construction duties and meetings with owners, clients, and engineers
Requirements:
  • 2 years of steel estimating experience
  • Detailing experience is a plus
  • Advanced computer skills with estimating software
  • Extensive knowledge of construction costs and engineering principles
  • Understanding of structural steel and miscellaneous metal concepts
Estimated Salary:

$60,000 - $90,000 per year
