As a General Surgeon with SSM Health, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating injuries or illnesses. Your expertise will be essential in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our medical team.
Key Responsibilities- Obtain call coverage from other medical staff members for holidays, vacations, and other time off.
- Maintain the standard of practice for patient populations.
- Be responsible for maintaining a private office and making clinical decisions within the office during service hours.
- Act as an advisor and consultant in establishing operational policies for the practice, including purchasing, managed care, budgeting, and personnel management.
- Provide after-hours call coverage for patients and participate in community service activities.
- Be responsible for risk management, coding compliance, and quality assurance activities.
- Work in a constant state of alertness and safety.
- Constant use of speech to share information through oral communication.
- Constant standing and walking.
- Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
- Frequent sitting, reaching, and keyboard use/data entry.
