Job Summary

Responsibilities
  • Prepare operating rooms and equipment for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary supplies and instruments are available.
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during procedures, maintaining a sterile field and handling instruments and equipment as needed.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the surgical team.
  • Maintain accurate records of surgical procedures, including patient information, surgical details, and any complications or issues that arise.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination during surgical procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest surgical techniques and technologies.
Requirements
  • BLS certification and current NBSTSA certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
  • 1+ year of experience in inpatient or outpatient hospital scrub experience
  • Scrub experience in General, Ortho, GYN/Robotics, Spine (Ortho & Neuro), Urology, Thoracic, Vascular, ENT & Ophthalmology
  • Aseptic technique, sharps safety, specimen labeling/handling, universal protocol (time out), sterilization/disinfection, radiation/laser/fire safety
