About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Energy Management Systems Architect to join our team. As a key member of our energy solutions group, you will design and implement advanced energy management systems that integrate smart grid and distributed energy resources.

This is a challenging role that requires strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. You will lead the development of scalable, secure, and high-performance systems that optimize energy distribution and management.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of energy technologies, including distributed energy resource management systems (DERMS), advanced distribution management systems (ADMS), and smart grid integration. Strong experience with system integration, API design, and industry standards such as IEEE 2030.5 and IEC 61850 is also required.

Salary: $120,100 - $251,600 per annum

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop energy management systems that meet client-specific needs
  • Lead the integration of renewable energy sources, troubleshoot complex issues, and oversee proof-of-concept initiatives
  • Collaborate with customers, engineers, and product directors to ensure successful implementation of enterprise energy solutions
  • Develop high-level technical guidance and corresponding integration specifications
  • Provide detailed documentation of functional specifications and process & data flow diagrams

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years in solution architecture, including 5+ years with DERMS, ADMS, or energy management systems
  • Expertise in energy management systems (EMS), advanced distribution management systems (ADMS), SCADA, or similar platforms
  • Strong experience with integration of energy technologies such as solar PV, wind, storage systems, electric vehicles, and demand response
  • Proficiency in system integration (APIs, RESTful, SOAP) and familiarity with industry standards (IEEE 2030.5, IEC 61850)
