Job Summary:

As a Per Diem Pharmacist at UCI Health, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients. You will be responsible for performing day-to-day responsibilities of drug distribution, computer drug and IV order processing, and therapeutic intervention as needed. Additionally, you will provide drug information and consultation to other professional staff and patients, maintain patient profiles, and attend cardio-pulmonary emergencies. This position requires a licensed pharmacist with one year of clinical experience and current BLS or ACLS certification.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform therapeutic intervention as needed
  • Provide drug information and consultation to other professional staff and patients
  • Maintain patient profiles
  • Attend cardio-pulmonary emergencies
  • Direct technicians and perform inventory control
  • Precept pharmacy residents, students, technicians, or interns as assigned

Requirements:
  • Possession of the legal requirements for the practice of pharmacy as determined by the CA Board of Pharmacy
  • One year of clinical experience as a licensed pharmacist
  • Current BLS or ACLS certification

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Pharm.D. highly desirable
