Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Health Advocates Network - Midwest. As a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Job Summary:

This is a 12-week travel assignment in St. Petersburg, Florida, with a 36-hour workweek and 12-hour shifts. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of recent acute care experience and be certified in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) or Pediatric Emergency Department (Peds ED) experience. A current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) licensure in the applicable state (FL) is required, along with American Heart Association BLS and PALS for Health Care Providers certifications.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement effective treatment plans
  • Conduct respiratory assessments and develop treatment plans to meet the needs of patients
  • Operate and maintain respiratory equipment, including ventilators and oxygen therapy devices
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
Requirements:
  • Graduate from an AMA-approved Respiratory Care program
  • At least 2 years of recent acute care experience
  • PICU or Peds ED experience preferred
  • Current RRT licensure in applicable state (FL)
  • American Heart Association BLS and PALS for Health Care Providers certifications
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
