Job Summary:
The Patient Safety Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of patients at UF Health. As a key member of the healthcare team, this individual will provide continuous observation and support to patients, working closely with registered nurses to optimize patient mobility and care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide continuous observation and monitoring of patients to ensure their safety and well-being
- Assist patients with mobility and transfer needs, using specialized equipment as needed
- Work collaboratively with registered nurses to develop and implement patient care plans
- Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment, promoting excellent patient care and outcomes
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift and move patients as needed
