Position Overview:
UPMC Shadyside is on the lookout for a skilled MRI Imaging Specialist to enhance our team, providing support across various departments. We offer flexible shift options, including:
- 3 shifts of 13 hours during Daylight/Evening hours
- 5 shifts of 8 hours during daytime hours
All positions require participation in weekend and holiday on-call duties.

Key Responsibilities:
- Execute all duties associated with a Level II MRI Advanced Technologist, ensuring MR safety and patient care through meticulous identification and preparation processes.
- Conduct procedures according to established protocols while effectively communicating relevant details to physicians and updating patient records.
- Lead training and orientation for new personnel, ensuring all competencies are met within designated timeframes.
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives and collaborate on the development of exam protocols, providing feedback to departmental leadership.
- Manage daily departmental workflow and scheduling, adapting to staffing needs due to absences or patient demand.
- Step into a leadership role during the supervisor's absence.
- Engage in talent acquisition processes to assist in recruiting MRI Technologist candidates and contribute to performance evaluations.

Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited MRI training program recognized by ARRT, ARMRIT, or CNMT.
- A minimum of three years of MRI experience is required.
- Recent performance reviews must reflect strong or solid performance standards.

Licensure and Certifications:
- ARRT or ARMRIT MR Certification is mandatory.
- CPR or BLS certification is required, with training adhering to AHA standards within 30 days of hire.
- Additional certifications may include ARRT, NMTC, or RDMS.
