Position Overview:

The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) is seeking skilled Imagery Analysts who are adept at formulating tasking strategies and interpreting imagery to support military and policy objectives. This role involves analyzing activities of various entities, including nations and non-state actors, and assessing the effects of both natural and human-induced events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive multi-INT research and leverage intelligence databases to produce and disseminate critical intelligence products.
  • Utilize full-motion video (FMV) analysis to enhance situational awareness and support operational needs.
  • Collaborate with mission partners to ensure effective geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) exploitation.
Career Advancement:

Opportunities for promotion are available across all band levels, focusing on the quality of experience rather than duration in a specific band. Candidates will be evaluated based on their competencies and the relevance of their experience to the NGA's mission.

Additional Information:

This position requires analysts to work in a dynamic environment, often on a rotational shift schedule to meet mission demands. Analysts will engage with advanced surveillance technologies and will have the chance to enhance their GEOINT analysis skills.

Qualifications:

Mandatory Criteria:

  • Proven experience in full-motion video imagery analysis, particularly within military or specialized programs.
  • Background in research and analysis related to imagery or geospatial data.
  • Experience in collaborative, fast-paced environments.

Education Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in relevant fields such as Engineering, Geography, or International Affairs is required, or a combination of education and experience totaling four years.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

Applicants must have the ability to distinguish colors and possess near visual acuity. Prolonged exposure to video display units is expected.
