About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at AdventHealth DeLand. As a PRN Speech Language Pathologist, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients and contribute to their rehabilitation and recovery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and conduct medically prescribed Speech Language pathology treatment programs
  • Assess patient ability to safely and effectively perform speech language, cognitive and swallowing skills
  • Design and implement a treatment plan of care utilizing practice standards and recommended techniques and modalities, insurance guidelines and patient's needs
  • Document and charge accurately, completely, and timely using measurable and objective terminology, following standards of practice, insurance guidelines and department/hospital policy and procedures
  • Provide discharge planning assistance and information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and follow-up services
  • Oversee the care provided by therapy aides, according to established regulations and practice standards
Requirements
  • A license or provisional license in Florida as a Speech and Language Pathologist
  • Preferred qualifications: Certificate of Clinical Competence by American Speech & Hearing Association (ASHA)
