Role Summary:

As a Patient Advocate, your primary responsibility will be to facilitate communication. We prioritize ensuring that every member has direct access to a live representative when assistance is needed, eliminating the frustration of navigating phone queues or waiting on hold.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a patient advocate, serving as a liaison between patients, insurance providers, and medical offices.
  • Assist patients in navigating insurance claims and advocate on their behalf.
  • Provide updates regarding benefits investigations related to members' financial responsibilities, including co-pays and co-insurance.
  • Utilize resourcefulness and emotional intelligence to identify challenges and collaborate with team members to explore potential solutions.
  • Maintain a remote workspace equipped with high-speed internet and privacy.

Qualifications:

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an emergency room, urgent care, or busy primary care environment.
  • At least 2 years of experience in patient communication, research, and documentation of insurance information.
  • Active unrestricted license as a Medical Assistant (MA), EMT, Paramedic (EMT-P), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, particularly in a healthcare setting.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate degree is preferred.
Compensation:

The position offers a competitive pay range of $25/hr to $45/hr, commensurate with experience and licensure.
