Role Summary: Senior Software Developer

Team Overview: We are in search of a skilled Data Engineer to enhance our expanding team of development professionals. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing and optimizing our data architecture and data pipeline, ensuring efficient data flow and collection across various teams. The Data Engineer will assist our data division with data projects and guarantee that the data delivery architecture remains consistent throughout ongoing initiatives.

Key Contributions: The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data collection across diverse formats and a passion for parsing, transforming, and refining data systems, including building them from scratch. The right individual will be motivated by the opportunity to optimize or redesign our organization’s data architecture to facilitate the next generation of products and data projects.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Design and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture.
  • Identify, conceptualize, and implement internal process enhancements: automating manual tasks, optimizing data delivery, and redesigning infrastructure for improved scalability.
  • Construct the necessary infrastructure for effective extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a variety of sources into SQL Server, MongoDB, and others.
  • Develop data tools for the data quality team to assist in building and optimizing pipelines to improve workflows.
  • Establish processes that support data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency, and workload management.

Candidate Profile:

  • We seek a candidate with 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Software Engineering roles, holding a Graduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field.
  • Proficient in SQL Server with experience in relational databases, query authoring (SQL), and familiarity with various database types, including NoSQL, Big Data, and custom formats.
  • Experience with Visual Studio, ASP.NET Frameworks, .NET Core, C#, SQL Server, NoSQL, Java, and Internet Information Services (IIS).
  • Knowledge of multi-threading in C# and ensuring data integrity in SQL Server.
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to address specific business inquiries and identify areas for enhancement.
  • Strong analytical skills related to handling unstructured datasets.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in a dynamic setting.

Compensation and Benefits: The anticipated base salary range for this position is $100,000 - $125,000. The final salary will be determined based on the individual's geographic location, experience level, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan and additional benefits.
