Job Title: Service Technician - HVAC

Veregy, an Energy Transition Company, is seeking a highly skilled Service Technician - HVAC to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and installing all types of HVAC equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Follow all safety guidelines and protocols.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to ensure tasks are completed to company quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with HVAC equipment.
  • Install, service, and repair HVAC equipment and ice machines.
  • Communicate effectively with customers about product usage.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools to identify issues and evaluate available information.
  • Repair defective or broken products or order necessary parts to replace faulty or worn-out parts.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of two to five years of experience in HVAC system installation and servicing.
  • General knowledge of HVAC equipment, components, methods of installation, safety procedures, and safe work practices.
  • EPA certification.
  • Experience with industrial and commercial chillers and boilers.
  • Ability to safely and responsibly install and repair refrigerant piping.
  • Availability to work overtime as needed.
  • Willingness to work weekends and 24-hour on-call schedules as needed.
Education and Certifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Completion of a 2-year HVAC certification program and multiple pieces of training on various HVAC systems.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Skilled in the use and care of standard tools and equipment.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Expert knowledge of interpreting project-related drawings and documentation.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in writing and orally.
  • Ability to effectively use a computer, email, and cell phone.
Work Environment:
  • This position requires work in a field/construction environment subject to outdoor temperatures and confined spaces.
