Role Overview: As a Lead Financial Consultant, you will collaborate with a diverse team to provide comprehensive financial services to a variety of clients, including privately held businesses, non-profit organizations, and governmental entities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct planning and fieldwork procedures for accounting and auditing projects, including client inquiries and analytical testing.
  • Prepare detailed financial statements and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
  • Compile and file federal and state income tax returns for various entities, including corporations, partnerships, and trusts.
  • Perform essential accounting tasks such as bookkeeping and account reconciliations.
  • Research and apply accounting and tax regulations to ensure adherence to current legislation.
  • Supervise and mentor junior accountants and interns on assigned projects.
  • Engage in professional development through firm-directed training and networking opportunities.
  • Contribute to in-house initiatives and committees.

Qualifications:

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a closely related field. A Master’s degree in Taxation (MST), Master of Science in Accounting (MSA), or a similar advanced degree is preferred.

Applicants must have completed 150 relevant credit hours required for the CPA examination and be actively pursuing CPA licensure.

Additionally, candidates should have:

  • A foundational understanding of accounting principles.
  • A minimum of one year of relevant professional experience.
  • Strong computer, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Organizational skills with attention to detail and a proactive approach to learning.
  • The ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Integrity and the capability to manage confidential information.

The Lead Financial Consultant will work standard office hours, with potential travel or alternative schedules based on client requirements.
