Key Responsibilities:
- Support the operation and maintenance of ground segment system engineering architecture/design.
- Analyze and implement critical interface control documents by linking them to ground requirements and design.
- Assist in trade studies, performance analyses, and risk and opportunity assessments.
- Oversee and guide the management of ground segment capabilities/requirements, including allocation, verification, and validation.
- Provide support for ground segment software development.
- Analyze and establish verification attributes for requirements/capabilities.
- Develop use cases and trace artifacts to architectural constructs.
- Lead and mentor technical teams in defining, directing implementation, and operating complex ground systems.
- Provide engineering support across multiple mission partners by customizing concepts to meet their needs.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to peers, management, and customers.
- Collaborate in a cross-disciplinary environment with both internal teams and external clients to maintain a positive and productive workplace.
Required Education/Certifications:
- Associate Engineer (CT7): Entry-level to experienced, typically with an advanced degree and 0 years of experience or a bachelor's degree with 0-2+ years of experience or equivalent.
- Engineer 1 (CT8): Career level, typically with an advanced degree and 3+ years of experience or a bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience or equivalent.
- Senior Engineer (CT9): Emerging authority, typically with an advanced degree and 7+ years of experience or a bachelor's degree with 9+ years of experience or equivalent.
- Principal Engineer (CT10): Expert in the discipline, typically with an advanced degree and 12+ years of experience or a bachelor's degree with 14+ years of experience or equivalent.
- Engineer Consultant (CT11): Senior consultant to top management, typically with an advanced degree and 18+ years of experience or a bachelor's degree with 20+ years of experience or equivalent.
The proposed salary range for these positions in Colorado is $75,000 – $230,000 (CT7 – CT11). Final salary will be determined based on various factors.
