Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team at ExpressCare Urgent Care Center. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining effective patient throughput and assisting our providers with delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Document patient information into our electronic medical record (EMR) system
  • Measure and record vital signs, conduct rapid lab tests, and accurately record lab results
  • Administer injections, perform EKGs, and apply orthopedic splints as needed
  • Assist our providers with simple medical procedures, phlebotomy, and preparing specimens for lab testing
  • Adhere to established policies and procedures, and attend staff meetings as scheduled
  • Complete checklists and tasks such as supply inventory assigned within the shift
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program and externship is required
  • Certified or Registered (CMA or RMA) is preferred
  • Minimum one year of clinical experience in a physician's office or hospital is preferred
  • CPR Certification is required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work 12 plus hour shifts, sit, stand, and walk for longer periods of time, and lift up to 25 pounds as needed
  • Ability to travel to different locations and have reliable transportation
Work Schedule

Full-time position with 3 shifts per week, rotating weekends. All centers are open 7 days a week, including holidays.
