Dornier Weaver

We are seeking a skilled Dornier Weaver to join our team at TenCate Protective Fabrics. As a Dornier Weaver, you will be responsible for operating assigned looms to weave yarn into cloth, performing quality checks, and making repairs as needed.

• Operate assigned looms to weave yarn into cloth, monitoring the looms and making adjustments as necessary.
• Perform quality checks hourly, recording results in the Porini System using QC codes found on the front of each loom.
• Make repairs to looms, following the defined weaver's cycle and using a weaver's knot to tie yarn to the broken end.
• Examine looms to determine the cause of loom stoppage, using lights on the loom to identify issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management, including following all safety rules to ensure the safety of yourself and those around you.

• High School Diploma, GED, or High School Equivalency Certificate preferred.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, frequently exposed to noise, dust, and chemicals.
• Good hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity, with the ability to reach out and overhead with hands and arms, bend, lean, stoop, kneel, step up/down steps frequently, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
• 20/20 vision or corrected 20/20 vision, with the ability to distinguish the difference in the color of cones.

This job operates in a manufacturing environment, with the candidate frequently exposed to noise, dust, and chemicals. The candidate will be required to wear personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, hearing protection, and non-skid shoes.
