Construction Superintendent

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Superintendent to join our team at GPAC, a leading general contractor in the Houston area. As a Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing field operations on commercial construction projects, ensuring that work is performed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and oversee all on-site activities for commercial construction projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications and requirements.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and construction workers, promoting a safety-first culture and ensuring adherence to safety regulations and company safety policies.
- Collaborate with the project manager, architects, and engineers to ensure seamless communication and execution of project plans.
- Monitor project schedules and adjust as necessary to meet deadlines and address any unforeseen challenges.
- Perform quality control inspections to ensure all work meets specifications and industry standards.
- Conduct regular site meetings to communicate project status, address concerns, and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Maintain accurate daily logs, progress reports, and site documentation.
- Manage site logistics, including material deliveries, equipment, and manpower needs.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Proven track record of managing commercial construction projects.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team of subcontractors and workers.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid, or similar tools) is a plus.
- OSHA 30-hour certification or equivalent safety training is required.
