POSITION OVERVIEW
The Financial Operations Supervisor is essential in managing the financial activities of the organization. This role entails overseeing the accounting division and guaranteeing the precision and promptness of financial documentation. The supervisor will lead the Accounting Clerk team, offering mentorship and support while ensuring adherence to financial regulations and standards.
This newly established position is vital for our ongoing growth and will report directly to the Director of Accounting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Reporting & Reconciliation (20%)
- Generate and evaluate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Examine and reconcile accounts and transactions.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Facilitate and support external audits and tax submissions.
- Enhance and refine accounting practices and protocols.
- Monitor and uphold internal controls and accounting systems.
- Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and issues.
- Manage and oversee daily accounting operations.
- Guide, mentor, and train accounting personnel.
- Delegate tasks and projects to team members, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Conduct performance assessments and provide constructive feedback.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and policies.
- Perform various clerical and administrative tasks as required.
- Minimum of 4 years in accounting or finance roles.
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
- Self-driven and proactive individual.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities.
- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy.
- Genuine interest in learning processes and implementing best practices.
- Curious mindset, comfortable seeking answers.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Adaptable to changing priorities and demands.
- Proficient in various software applications, including MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

- Associate's degree in accounting or finance is required.
