We are seeking a highly skilled Infection Preventionist to join our team at Aspire at Shoal Creek. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective infection control and prevention strategies to minimize the risk of infection and promote a safe and healthy environment.
  • Collaborate with center leadership and medical director to develop, implement, and evaluate infection control and prevention goals and plans.
  • Conduct surveillance and investigation of infections, and implement actions to prevent and control the spread of infections.
  • Provide education and training to staff on infection control and prevention best practices.
  • Assess employees with open lesions or communicable diseases for ability to work and any limitations or restrictions.
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a minimum of a Nursing Diploma and associated license from an accredited college or university.
  • Certificate or degree in nursing, or Bachelor's degree (or higher) in microbiology or epidemiology; or Associate's degree (or higher) in medical technology or clinical laboratory science; or completion of training in another related field.
  • Certification in Infection Control as specified by Appendix PP at F880 is required prior to assuming the role in infection prevention and control.
