Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Development Engineer to join our Amazon Aurora team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions for our cloud-based database services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Solve complex technical problems and design innovative software solutions to transform service performance, durability, cost, and security.
  • Build high-quality, highly available, and always-on products that meet the needs of our customers.
  • Research and implement solutions that deliver the best possible experiences for our customers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business decisions and contribute to the development of our cloud-based database services.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

Compensation

The base pay for this position ranges from $151,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors, including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
