Responsibilities:

  • Maintain current assessment and documentation of resident health status using progress notes.
  • Implement new and update current resident care plans to ensure optimal health outcomes.
  • Coordinate resident health services with internal and external providers, obtaining necessary orders as required.
  • Handle and supervise timely and accurate medication and treatment administration.
  • Act as support to the Director of Health Services, filling in as RN on call during scheduled times.
  • Monitor the work and performance of licensed and unlicensed staff.

Requirements:

  • Current MN RN license or by start date.
  • AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or Red Cross CPR for Professional Rescuers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Comfortable using Microsoft Windows and electronic charting systems.
  • Work experience in a patient support role, LPN or RN.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills to interact with residents, families, and physicians or providers.
  • Ability to work with and have sensitivity to the needs of the geriatric population.
