Key Responsibilities:

  • Guarantee the precise execution of accounting tasks and responsibilities

  • Prepare journal entries and balance complex accounting tasks
  • Assist in budget formulation and financial analysis
  • Provide leadership through effective goal setting, delegation, and communication
  • Conduct performance evaluations as necessary
  • Investigate and rectify accounting discrepancies and errors

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and training
  • Experience in the financial institution sector is required
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience with supervisory experience preferred
  • Familiarity with Prologue and Symitar systems is preferred

Skills and Competencies:

  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, practices, procedures, and financial reporting
  • Awareness of applicable regulations, statutes, and filing requirements
  • Capability to assist and supervise team members
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Adept at meeting deadlines and managing projects
  • Successful completion of employee screening processes is required

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

  • Position involves stationary work, requiring prolonged periods of standing or sitting
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards
  • Visual verification of numerical details for accuracy is necessary
  • Repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, and/or fingers may be required
  • Ability to access and navigate the facility with reasonable accommodations
  • Capability to lift and carry small parcels and packages
