Position Type: Direct Hire
Relocation Assistance: Available for eligible applicants
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and develop both electronic and paper documentation related to pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment and utilities to ensure operational integrity and compliance.
- Operate and set up production machinery as required, including Isolators filling lines and Lyophilizers.
- Oversee the implementation of preventive maintenance programs in alignment with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
- Collaborate with vendors to enhance manufacturing processes and manage plant maintenance.
- Perform off-hours and non-routine tasks as necessary to support operations.
- Assist in validation, calibration, and certification processes for manufacturing areas.
- Review and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for plant operations.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Work autonomously with minimal oversight, employing troubleshooting skills and decision-making abilities.
- Address complex issues related to manufacturing equipment and utilities.
- Support projects aimed at operational improvement and maintenance.
- Conduct validations for manufacturing processes and equipment as required.
- Ensure compliance with state regulations regarding steam utilities and waste management.
- Mentor and support peers in their professional development.
- Monitor process operations to guarantee adherence to specifications.
- Act as a subject matter expert in various processing technologies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Work Environment:
- Office
- Laboratory
- Manufacturing and shipping areas
- Exposure to varying temperatures, noise, and other environmental factors within safe limits.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, and use hands for various tasks.
- Capability to lift up to 70 lbs.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to operate company vehicles.
- Comfortable using computers and office equipment.
- Must wear safety equipment as required.
- Flexibility to work varied schedules.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification preferred.
- Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or related fields is essential.
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques and ability to interpret engineering drawings.
- State licensing for boiler operation preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office and electronic documentation systems.
Experience:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Familiarity with process equipment and electronic document management systems.
- Training in HAZMAT and formal cGMP practices.
- Experience with Building Automation Systems is a plus.
