OVERVIEW:


The Automotive Technician II will enhance vehicles in a prototype setting, executing a diverse array of diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance tasks. This role involves undertaking independent project assignments while collaborating effectively with clients and team members.

Work Schedule: 7 days/week, 12 hours/day: 6am-6:30pm, with overtime applicable after 40 hours/week.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensure vehicle operational status by following repair orders or supervisor directives and conducting thorough inspections.
  • Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical system issues, replacing parts and components as necessary.
  • Interpret and adhere to service protocols.
  • Maintain accurate vehicle records by documenting notes, services, and repair orders.
  • Ensure shop equipment is functional by adhering to operating guidelines, troubleshooting issues, performing preventive maintenance, and coordinating repairs.
  • Engage in daily shop organization and cleanliness.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience as a Technician.
  • Proficient in mechanical assembly and capable of operating shop tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
  • Able to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
  • Possesses personal tools with a rolling toolbox and is available for overtime and weekend work.
  • Ability to read, understand, and implement written procedures.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Certification in Automotive Technology or a related field.
  • National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification(s).
  • State Mechanic Certification(s).
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Familiarity with vehicle alignments, air conditioning (A/C) system repairs, tire machines, and balancers.
