Senior Tax Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Accountant to play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our company's tax returns.

A Day in the Life
  • Prepare and review federal and state income and franchise tax returns for affiliated companies, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Analyze financial information and tax rules to identify areas for improvement and optimize tax strategies, driving business growth and profitability.
  • Collaborate with accounting personnel to resolve questions and issues, ensuring seamless communication and coordination, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Assist with quarterly taxable income estimates and year-end basis calculations, providing expert guidance and recommendations to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Research and analyze complex tax issues related to entities and shareholders, providing expert guidance and recommendations to ensure accurate and compliant tax reporting.
  • Contribute to the review of unique transactions and special projects, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations, and identifying opportunities for process improvements.
  • Correspond with tax authorities to resolve notices and ensure compliance with tax obligations, maintaining a positive and professional relationship.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field, with a strong foundation in taxation and financial regulations.
  • 2-4 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience, with a proven track record of success in tax compliance and financial analysis.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or progress towards passing the exam is highly desirable, demonstrating a commitment to professional development and excellence.
Physical and Environmental Requirements

The associate must frequently move up to 10 pounds and occasionally move up to 25 pounds, with a focus on maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Travel Requirements

20% travel required, with opportunities to work with our team and clients across the country.
