Job Summary:

As a key member of the Harvard Services Group, Inc. team, the Environmental Health and Safety Quality Manager will be responsible for implementing, managing, and ensuring adherence to the company's corporate safety, loss control, and quality programs. This role will focus on reducing and preventing employee injuries, accidents, occupational illnesses, and exposure to long-term health hazards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Conduct regular safety training sessions for supervisors and employees to promote a culture of safety and awareness.
  • Administer safety exposure assessments and hazard evaluations to identify potential risks and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Investigate and document workplace injuries, and perform root cause analysis to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement safety incentive programs to promote a culture of safety and recognition.
  • Manage the defensive driving program and ensure all drivers are trained and certified.
  • Provide support and guidance to local management on employee health and safety issues.
  • Coordinate the reporting of worker compensation claims and ensure proper employee injury management.
  • Oversight and administration of quality programs and assurance, including training and inspections.
Requirements:
  • Background in integrating safety with quality systems, with certifications in safety or quality preferred.
  • Ability to work alternating day and evening hours.
  • Self-starter with excellent written and oral communication skills, able to influence all levels of organization leadership.
  • Janitorial experience recommended but not required.
  • 5-7 years' experience in safety and quality management.
