Overview: The Facility Maintenance Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of the premises, including the Shelter, Resource Center, and Transitional Houses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing painting tasks for walls and ceilings.
  • Maintaining cleanliness in bathrooms.
  • Washing and sanitizing walls and floors.
  • Managing outdoor maintenance, including lawn care in warmer months and snow removal during winter.
  • Executing minor repair tasks as needed.
  • Overseeing the procurement of household supplies.
  • Assisting with furniture relocation.
  • Maintaining a valid Driver's License.
  • Stocking the emergency food pantry at the Resource Center.
  • Conducting weekly cleaning of communal areas, including the lounge, foyer, meeting rooms, bathrooms, and kitchen, along with garbage disposal.
  • Completing additional tasks as assigned by the Shelter Director.

Qualifications: Candidates should possess strong mechanical skills, experience in painting, and effective planning and organizational abilities.
