We are seeking a skilled Precision Machinist Specialist to join our team at Ole Mexican Foods, INC. As a key member of our production department, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce high-quality precision parts and components.
Key Responsibilities- Program and set up CNC machines based on blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings.
- Monitor and adjust machine settings to ensure the quality of finished parts.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet the required specifications and make any necessary adjustments to the machines or programming as needed.
- Feed inventory levels to the supervisor.
- Provide general assistance.
- Keep the work area organized and clean.
- Perform regular maintenance on CNC machines, including cleaning, lubrication, and replacing worn or damaged parts.
- Cut various types of materials on both automatic and manual saws.
- Responsible for lathe operations such as facing, boring, turning, knurling, parting, grooving, drilling, tapping, threading, and use of steady rest while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Knowledge of machining processes, including milling, turning, grinding, drilling, and CNC machining, is essential.
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints is crucial for understanding design specifications and tolerances.
- Precision measurement skills, including proficiency in using micrometers, calipers, and gauges, are necessary for ensuring accurate dimensions and tight tolerances.
- Familiarity with different types of metals and materials commonly used in machining, including aluminum, steel, titanium, and various plastics, is beneficial.
- CNC programming and operation experience is often required for advanced machine shop positions.
- A strong commitment to workplace safety and understanding of safe machine operation practices are critical in any machine shop environment.
- Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of machine components and functions are important for troubleshooting and performing basic maintenance tasks.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills are valuable in ensuring the quality of machined parts.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills are essential for productivity and safety.
The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including 401(k), dental insurance, health insurance, life insurance, paid time off, and vision insurance.
