Job Overview

At Prince Industries LLC, we are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our team in Carol Stream, IL. As a key member of our production department, you will be responsible for operating state-of-the-art CNC machinery, including lathes, swiss machines, and milling equipment.

Compensation

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $23-$28, with additional compensation for shift differential. Responsibilities
  • Operate CNC machines, including lathes, swiss machines, and milling equipment to create metallic and non-metallic workpieces.
  • Verify conformance of work pieces to specifications using measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and go-no-go gauges.
  • Secure all tooling and instruments required, position and secure work pieces in holding devices, machine tables, chucks, centers, or fixtures.
  • Adjust work offsets and speed/feed settings according to different part specifications.
  • Perform daily preventative machine maintenance, including checking coolant levels, filters, fan operation, and cleaning machines.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year's experience in a CNC machining environment.
  • Ability to quickly use control panels to perform offsets and edits on different machinery.
  • Tolerance: ability to machine parts to +/- 0.0005" for diameter and +/- 0.001" for length.
  • Ability to read and interpret GD&T blueprints to the required specification.
Physical Requirements
  • Regularly required to stand and reach for the duration of the shift (8-10 hours).
  • Occasionally required to walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or bend.
  • Frequently required to perform repetitive or short-cycle work.
  • Regularly lift, push, or pull up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
