Role Overview:

We are in search of a skilled estimator to enhance our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction estimating team, planning, and coordinating various estimating activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with sales and division managers to identify suitable projects for bidding.
  • Formulate tailored bid strategies and techniques for specific projects.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of final estimates to ensure precision and completeness before formal quotations.
  • Engage in presentations to corporate management and clients.
  • Assist in the order closure process.
  • Provide technical support during contract negotiations and change orders.
  • Evaluate estimating procedures for efficiency and consistency.
  • Participate in talent acquisition and development initiatives.
  • Maintain an up-to-date estimating database, ensuring commodity material pricing reflects current market levels, and manage software updates.
  • Work closely with fabrication and operations teams to develop and monitor time studies for prefabrication.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Proven experience in estimating commercial electrical projects.
  • Experience with electrical project estimations exceeding $6M.
  • Strong understanding of electrical equipment, techniques, drawings, and specifications.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret computerized cost data.
  • Proficient in Accubid estimating software or similar tools (training available).
  • Demonstrated proficiency with technology, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with team members and external clients.
