Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Garland Independent School District. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing speech and language services to students with communication disorders.

Responsibilities:

Provide speech and language services to students with communication disorders
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the needs of students
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure student success
Assess and diagnose communication disorders in students
Develop and implement strategies to support students with communication disorders in the classroom

Requirements:

Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology or related field
Texas Education Agency Speech Therapy Certification or eligible to apply for Clinical Fellowship
ASHA Certification of Clinical Competency
Texas Licensure as a Speech Pathologist or eligible to apply for Clinical Fellowship

Special Knowledge & Skills:

Working knowledge of federal laws, state guidelines, and local district policies
Knowledge of diagnostic procedures, instructional and behavioral modification, and accommodations
Thorough knowledge of communication disorders, including all areas of language, phonological processes, articulation, voice, and fluency
Excellent oral and written communication skills
