Special Education Instructor

Join Soliant as a Special Education Teacher and make a meaningful impact on the lives of students with special needs. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate educator to join our team and provide high-quality instruction and support to students in a K-3rd grade mild/moderate special education setting.
Responsibilities:- Develop and Implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs): Create and implement IEPs that cater to the unique needs of each student, ensuring they receive the support and accommodations necessary to succeed.
- Establish a Supportive Learning Environment: Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement, growth, and social-emotional development.
- Provide Differentiated Instruction: Adapt teaching strategies and materials to meet the diverse needs of students, ensuring they receive a high-quality education that prepares them for success.
- Assess and Monitor Student Progress: Regularly assess and monitor student progress, documenting achievements and identifying areas for improvement to inform instruction and support.
- Collaborate with Colleagues and Parents: Work closely with other teachers, specialists, and parents to ensure effective communication and coordination of services, promoting a seamless and supportive learning experience for students.
- Master's Degree in Special Education: A master's degree in special education is preferred, but a bachelor's degree with relevant experience may be considered.
- Valid Teaching Certificate or Credential: A valid teaching certificate or credential in special education is required.
- IEP Development and Implementation Experience: Familiarity with IEP development and implementation is essential, as is the ability to create and implement effective IEPs that meet the unique needs of students.
- Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and support staff.
