Job Title:

Experienced RN-Registered Nurse-South OKC Freestanding ER/UC

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at the South OKC Freestanding ER/UC. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our physicians and staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing care to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex.
  • Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients and document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments.
  • Assist physicians in the examination of patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatment.
  • Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients, observe the physiological manifestations of patients and intervene when necessary.
  • Administer medication as prescribed and initiate, regulate and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products.
  • Deliver patient care competently and perform phlebotomy duties, basic laboratory procedures, wound cultures, Point of Care testing, and other care interventions within scope of practice and direction of the prescribing practitioner.
  • Interact with family and patient in sharing care plan while in the hospital and at time of discharge.
  • Makes referral regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel.
  • Delegates tasks to support staff.
Requirements:
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing required. Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Nursing Board Approved Program preferred.
  • Prefer 2 years' experience in Emergency Department or Critical Care Setting.
  • Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC). Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire. ACLS (American Heart Association) required within 3 months of hire.
