Advanced Battery Management System Electrical Engineer for High-Performance Products

We are seeking an experienced Battery Management System Electrical Engineer to design, develop and test battery monitoring units and BMUs for next generation consumer electronic products. This role will involve designing electronic circuits, producing detailed design analysis, selecting electronic parts and integrated circuits to meet performance targets.

Responsibilities include working with suppliers to develop custom parts where needed, designing test methodologies to verify the battery management unit design, and conducting investigations and preparing reports for problems or issues.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronics design, experience with high-volume manufacturing, and knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Shell, Unix, MATLAB, etc. for test automation and data analysis.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Apple's Battery Engineering group and contribute to the development of innovative battery technologies that continually outperform previous iterations.

Salary Range: $157,000 - $278,900 per year

Requirements:

  • BS + 10 years of relevant industry experience
  • Experience in analog and/or power electronics design
  • Schematic capture and PCB layout design for mixed signal boards
  • Design validation of new silicon or prototype bring up
