Job Summary:

The Psychiatric Social Worker is a key member of our interdisciplinary team, providing direct assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and intervention to our members and their families. With expertise in various treatment modalities, this role requires a deep understanding of psychopathology and the ability to recognize timely clinical treatment interventions. The majority of the position will be spent in direct patient care, working with individuals of various age groups, as determined by training and certification.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning to ensure timely and effective interventions.
  • Select and implement appropriate treatment modalities to address members' presenting problems.
  • Communicate clinical information effectively to members and clinical staff, ensuring high internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • Provide high-quality documentation of clinical encounters in members' charts, adhering to all mandated guidelines.
  • Maintain expertise in a variety of treatment methodologies and stay up-to-date with current DSM nomenclature.
  • Collaborate with KP and community resources to provide comprehensive care.
  • Participate in quality management and continuous quality improvement activities.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Two years of post-graduate mental health therapy experience within the last five years required.
  • Masters degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field required.
  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (California), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (California), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (California) required.
