Job Summary

A skilled Vascular Tech is needed to utilize ionizing x-ray equipment and work directly with radiologists to perform interventional procedures and produce images of patients' internal organs for diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately interpret physician orders and administer contrast materials
  • Prepare and operate x-ray equipment and position patients to capture appropriate images
  • Effectively interact with patients, hospital employees, managers, and other healthcare team members while maintaining established professional standards
  • Participate in performance improvement activities and perform other imaging tasks or duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Completion of an AMA-approved school of radiology technology
  • Two years of experience as a Diagnostic Radiology Technologist
  • Understanding of radiographic and angiography techniques and equipment
  • Current Louisiana License and American Registry of Radiology Technologists certification
  • BLS Healthcare Provider Status required within 30 days of hire
