ChemSource Recruiting is seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to join our client's Food Engineering Group in the Southwest suburbs of Chicago. As a key member of the team, you will collaborate with Business Development Managers to design, specify, and install standard product lines of food freezing equipment.

This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, thermodynamics, and control system design. You will work closely with the Food production team to understand key equipment requirements and troubleshoot customer operational issues. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical engineering and 3+ years of experience working with food processing equipment or a closely related industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Food production team to identify equipment requirements and resolve technical issues.
  • Develop and implement innovative solutions to meet customer needs and expectations.
  • Work with the team to establish solutions and meet with customers to discuss program growth opportunities or changes.
  • Travel up to 25% in the US to support customer needs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience working with food processing equipment or a closely related industry.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, thermodynamics, and control system design.
  • Effective organizational, verbal/written communication, and problem-solving/analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs across multiple organizational disciplines.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently while prioritizing issues and tasks.

Interested candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Future Visa sponsorship is not available.
