Job Overview:
This role is ideal for candidates from the printing industry who are eager to transition into a Quality Technician position. The working hours are from 6 AM to 2:30 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Operations team to ensure quality standards are met.
- Conduct Quality Assurance checks, including Press Check, Seaming Check, and Flexible Packaging Check at the start of each job.
- Perform random quality checks throughout production to verify compliance with requirements.
- Familiarize yourself with all production materials and documentation.
- Operate and maintain quality testing equipment.
- Create folding standards, flat standards, and sample labels for clients.
- Assist in maintaining customer standards in both laboratory and Account Management settings.
- Report any issues to the Quality Manager or Operations team that may hinder sign-off.
- Communicate any hazards or concerns to supervisors.
- Be prepared to work overtime, including weekends, as production demands.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience as a Quality Inspector in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in Flexible Packaging and printing is essential.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with proficiency in technology.
- Industry certifications such as SQF are advantageous.
- Proficient in using both metric and standard measuring tools.
- Ability to maintain composure in challenging situations.
- Understand the significance of confidentiality.
- Collaborate effectively with management and operations teams.
- Propose process improvements in accordance with established procedures.
- Consistent attendance and punctuality are crucial, as quality assurance is vital for maintaining standards.
- Basic understanding of common Quality Systems and problem-solving methodologies.
- Computer skills, including data entry and knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, are required.
- Familiarity with the X-Rite Color Management System is a plus.
- Physical ability to bend, stoop, squat, grasp, and reach frequently.
- Capability to perform under tight deadlines while meeting quality expectations.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality work habits.
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.

- Must be eligible to work in the United States without restrictions.
