Dock Technician

We are seeking a skilled Dock & Door Technician to join our team at Modern Group Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting, as well as repairing and installing adjustable docks, overhead doors, and other industrial equipment.

• Conduct thorough inspections and diagnose issues with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Repair and install adjustable docks, overhead doors, dock levelers, truck restraints, and other industrial equipment
• Order and manage parts inventory, communicating with the Parts Department as needed
• Provide excellent customer service, keeping customers informed of job status and parts on order
• Utilize online manuals and training resources to stay up-to-date on equipment and procedures
• Efficiently manage time and labor to meet billing targets
• Assist in scheduling follow-up repairs and maintaining a clean and organized workspace
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge

• Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work at heights
• Excellent communication and customer service skills

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced warehouse environment, exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, and outside weather conditions. The noise level is typically loud.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
