University Hospitals is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join our Urology Institute team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, increase patient access and satisfaction, and work collaboratively with our urology attendings and hospitalist team.
Responsibilities- Provide hybrid care to inpatient urologic consults and outpatient care for patients with general urologic conditions, including BPH, incontinence, urinary retention, hematuria, kidney stones, UTI, elevated PSA, dysuria, catheter changes, and others.
- Round on patients daily, staff patients with UH Urology attendings, communicate updates to hospitalist team, and respond to pages from UH Elyria for incoming new consults or questions related to follow-up care on current consults during office hours.
- See new, established, and post-op visit patients for general urologic conditions, including BPH, incontinence, urinary retention, hematuria, kidney stones, UTI, elevated PSA, dysuria, catheter changes, and others.
- Master's Degree in Nursing or Master's Degree from an accredited PA educational program.
- 1+ years of experience as a NP or PA, preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, interpersonal relationships, and computer skills to access patient medical data from UHHS mainframe.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Ohio, and Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the State of Ohio, or Current Physician Assistant (PA) in the State of Ohio.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred.
