Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Pacific Central Coast Health Centers. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our licensed medical staff in delivering high-quality services.

Responsibilities
  • Assist licensed medical staff in preparing patients for delivery of services
  • Utilize basic administrative, clerical, and technical skills to ensure smooth patient flow
  • Communicate effectively with peers, staff, and supervisor to ensure seamless coordination
  • Provide direct patient contact and maintain a high level of patient satisfaction
  • Perform computer-based tasks with accuracy and efficiency
Requirements
  • Completion of a medical assistant training program
  • BLS certification within 90 days of hire
  • Ability to move quickly from one task to another independently
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and follow written and oral instructions in English
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of medical assistant experience
  • Experience in area of clinic specialty
  • Certified/Registered Medical Assistant
  • Bi-lingual Spanish speaking

Please note that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
