As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for delegating tasks to professional and non-professional staff members, ensuring the completion of safe and comprehensive patient care, and promoting optimum patient satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough nursing assessments and develop individualized plans of care that reflect the needs and goals of patients.
- Coordinate patient assignments and delegate tasks to ensure efficient and effective care delivery.
- Act as a role model and resource for staff members, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Collaborate with other care team members to facilitate achievement of patient goals and objectives.
- Provide education and support to patients and families to promote self-care and independence.
- Mentor and teach healthcare team members regarding nursing rehabilitation practices.
- Participate in team conferences and meetings to achieve stated goals and objectives.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Current licensure from the Massachusetts Board of Registration to practice professional nursing.
- Minimum of 1 year clinical experience, post-graduation.
- Effective verbal, electronic, and written communication skills using the English language.
- Computer proficiency required, with ability to learn new software.
