Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner to join our team at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center Healthcare. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide comprehensive care to victims of sexual assault, ages 13 and older, in a safe and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough physical and psychological assessments of patients
  • Provide crisis intervention and support to patients and their families
  • Collect and preserve forensic evidence, following established protocols
  • Administer medications and provide emergency care as needed
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, law enforcement, and healthcare professionals
  • Document all patient interactions and care provided
Requirements
  • Current registration with the Maryland State Board of Examiners of Nurses as a registered nurse
  • Completion of a specialized training program for Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner-Adult/Adolescent
  • Minimum of two years of clinical experience, preferably in Women's Health or Emergency Medicine
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current FNE-A certification
  • Completion of Healthcare Provider CPR course, yearly
