In this role, you will be tasked with overseeing and maintaining our receivables records, ensuring precision, compliance, and timely processing.

You will play a crucial role in our organization's financial operations, collaborating closely with our accounting team and other departments to ensure the seamless functioning of our financial systems.

The Receivables Management Expert will possess experience in commercial real estate, along with familiarity with Yardi software.

Most of the more complex tenant issues will be escalated to this individual/team, so experience in tenant relations is essential.

The Receivables Management Expert will have a background in CAM reconciliations and at least 2 years of experience in a similar capacity. A Bachelor's Degree is preferred but not mandatory. This is a growing organization with a fantastic culture, and this position is available due to the expansion of our property portfolio.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

As a Receivables Management Expert, you will:

  • Oversee all facets of accounts receivable, including payment processing, check application, and ACH transaction management.
  • Utilize Yardi software to manage and uphold accurate financial records.
  • Conduct CAM reconciliations and prepare monthly financial reports.
  • Engage with clients and customers to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to payments.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure the accuracy of financial data and compliance with regulations.
  • Participate in financial audits and provide necessary documentation.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the receivables process.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices in commercial real estate and the mortgage sector.

Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a receivables role, preferably within the mortgage or commercial real estate sectors.
  • Proficiency in Yardi software and handling ACH transactions.
  • Experience in performing CAM reconciliations.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively engage with clients and team members.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
