Job Overview
The Registered Nurse in Imaging Services is accountable for identifying responses to actual or potential health issues and delivering essential emergent, supportive, and restorative care utilizing the nursing process. This role requires a thorough understanding of the knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care for patients within the assigned responsibilities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Conducts a comprehensive assessment of the patient's physical, psychosocial, emotional, cultural, spiritual, and discharge needs based on their age and developmental stage.
2. Employs effective verbal and written communication skills to ensure thoroughness and precision in documentation.
3. Demonstrates proficient technical skills and operational knowledge of patient care equipment and procedures.
4. Reviews and evaluates the care plan, adjusting goals as necessary.
5. Develops and executes a tailored care plan for each patient.
6. Identifies unsafe and life-threatening conditions and takes appropriate action.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Connecticut is mandatory.
- Must possess current AHA Healthcare Provider CPR certification or equivalent within three months of hire.
