Job Opportunity

North Mississippi Health Services is seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team on a per diem basis in Gilmore Amory, Mississippi.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly qualified individual to provide high-quality mammographic images with minimal supervision in a timely manner to assist physicians in diagnosing diseases in patients.

Responsibilities
  • Review x-ray requests, physician orders, or patient charts to ensure correct procedures are requested.
  • Introduce yourself to patients, document patient history, explain, and answer questions about mammogram procedures.
  • Ensure diagnostic excellence by practicing radiation safety measures to prevent injury to patients.
  • Secure and maintain supplies with care to help control costs and avoid delays.
Requirements
  • High school or equivalent, with satisfactory completion of a Radiologic Technologist training program in an approved school.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Desirable to have obtained certification in mammography or at least 1 year of training or experience specifically in mammography.

This position serves patient populations of infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
