Job Summary

The Diagnostic Ultrasound Technologist I position plays a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and adhering to ultrasound exam standards and guidelines established by governing agencies to ensure optimal patient safety and customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promotes a positive work environment and collaborates with all members of the patient care team.
  • Guides and mentors Ultrasound Technologist I and students to help build confidence in skills, knowledge, and abilities.
  • Utilizes verbal, nonverbal, and written communication to achieve mutual understanding and proactive in responding to patient needs.
  • Performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures to include common and special ultrasound exams of moderate complexity and optimizes protocols to provide better patient care, image quality, and patient experience.
  • Assists physicians during diagnostic procedures or special ultrasound procedures, including assisting with sterile technique.
  • Follows MRI safety policy and procedures and conducts all imaging procedures accordingly.
  • Maintains proper sterile techniques for procedures and complies with job role, department, and hospital safety standards, practices, and policies.
  • Participates in LEAN projects and WASTE walks, and contributes to meeting department and hospital targets for quality and safety.
Requirements
  • Associates of Applied Science degree from a CAAHEP-accredited ultrasound program.
  • 0+ years of experience in diagnostic ultrasound.
  • American Heart Association (BLS) certification and one of the following credentials: American Registry for Radiology Technologist (ARRT-VS), American Registry for Diagnostic Sonography (RDMS-OB/GYN), American Registry for Diagnostic Sonography (RDMS-AB), American Registry for Diagnostic Sonography (RDMS-RVT), American Registry for Diagnostic Sonography (RDMS-PS), American Registry for Diagnostic Sonography (RDMS-MSKS), or American Registry for Diagnostic Sonography (RDMS-BR).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in OB or MFM and OB/GYN ARDMS registry.
Work Schedule

No nights, weekends, or on-call shifts.
