Your Role:The Certified Nursing Assistant is responsible for delivering basic and specialized nursing care in compliance with local and regulatory standards, under the guidance of a licensed nurse. They work collaboratively with other healthcare team members to plan and execute patient care activities. Additionally, they may rotate between units after completing an initial orientation to ensure adequate staffing for patient care.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist patients with daily living activities (ADLs) and accurately document care provided.
- Record and report vital signs and patient information promptly, alerting the licensed nurse to any irregularities.
- Complete assigned tasks, manage workflow effectively, and participate in meetings and training as directed by the nursing supervisor.
- Exhibit professional conduct and accountability, maintain confidentiality of patient and employee information, and ensure safe and compassionate care.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervising nurse, including organizing medical supplies and orienting new staff members.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of a Nursing Assistant training program.
Experience
- Knowledge of basic patient care methods and procedures is essential.
- Ability to manage a variety of routine tasks while maintaining an orderly workflow.
- Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain clearance for a Public Trust Position, if required.
- Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in using computers and standard software applications such as Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and various database systems.
Licenses/Certifications
- Current certification in the state of practice is mandatory.
