Job Overview

Community Impact Printing is seeking a detail-oriented and hard-working Material Handler to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth production of our newspapers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lift, move, and stack materials by hand and by use of hand-jacks, forklifts, clamp-lifts, etc.
  • Perform housekeeping tasks such as sweeping, mopping, wiping, and vacuuming oil, ink, paper and dust from floors, walls and machinery
  • Perform routine maintenance such as clearing jams and restarting machines
  • Maintain knowledge of quality control procedures
  • Collect and inspect random samples to identify defects or errors
  • Ensure area readiness
Requirements
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to read and interpret labels and/or other printed materials
  • Ability to work occasional weekends or variable shifts based on business needs
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1 or more years of experience in a printing/manufacturing environment
  • Basic computer skills
